Stefan Melovski
After meeting at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Stefan is one of my closest collaborators. Both of us studied a mixed course of jazz and classical studies, and we both share a deep admiration for many musicians and types of music, and also have attended Barry Harris' workshops. Stefan and I have collaborated on numerous projects, gigs and concerts, most notably at Ronnie Scott’s. Many more projects are in the pipeline, with a recording planned for the near future.
Queertet
Tom Smith's Queertet celebrates the lives of LGBT+ Musicians in a way that LGBT+ performers and composers never could in their own time. Bringing to light hidden tales behind songs, the Queertet is a vehicle for showing the songs true message and to help communicate their messages of love and loss. The Queertet consists of a hand picked ensemble of LGBT+ musicians, hoping to bring happiness and a message of hope, helping to move towards a more equal society.
Urban Soul Orchestra
One of the most in demand commercial orchestras in the world, the Urban Soul Orchestra is often playing to thousands with its celebrated 'Classic Ibiza' tour. The Urban Soul Orchestra (USO) is a contemporary and versatile ensemble with a unique twist, incorporating strings, percussion, brass, DJ and vocals. The orchestra has worked for over 25 years at the top of the UK music industry, performed with countless A-list stars in its many formats and I have been lucky to work as both a performer and arranger for many of their projects. New dates have just been released for their summer tour.
Adam Tuffrey
Adam Tuffrey (BEM) is an up and coming writer/musical director based in London. I first worked with Adam when he was just 15, raising money for Meningitis Now, a charity close to his heart. Adam and I have been close friends and collaborators on numerous projects and recently over the last two years I have recorded on all of Adam's single releases. Please check out his website and support his music.
The Sam Jewison Orchestra
Taking a trip down memory lane, Sam Jewison brings new life to the music of Cole Porter and music of the 1940s. The full orchestra of strings, woodwind, brass and rhythm, is a true spectacle, bringing big band music’s 'hey day' to the present time.
Orchestral
A major part of my career is working as a freelancer for orchestras, frequently as an extra to the Royal PhilHarmonic, London Philharmonic Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras.
The Regular Joes
The Regular Joes was one of the UK's most authentic RnB bands on the scene. Working both as a bass player and arranger to the band, the Regular Joes had a unique and very special repertoire of dance music taken from the period just after the big bands, where lindy hop and other American swing dances were thriving. Led by renowned dancer Martin Chilvers, the band had a very special personal connection to the music, which made it much loved across the dance scene.
